August is officially the month of theatre in Oaxaca and for the second year running the Casa de la Cultura Oaxaqueña will present a range of theatrical works in tribute to journalist, writer and patron of the arts, Arcelia Yañiz.
Coordinated by Hassael Tejada Hernandez, there will be over 30 performances including comedy, drama, music, monologues, puppetry, and tragicomedy. With a strong focus on local talent, the festival brings together a total of 25 theatre groups, 250 artists and 17 directors.
