SONOM – Festival Internacional de Arte Sonoro is a week-long celebration of sound art.
Now in it’s tenth year the festival has previously been held in Campeche, Nuevo Leon and in its first international presentation, in Beijing, China. This year’s event, based around the theme of Silence, will be held in Oaxaca at the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo.
Opening on Wednesday, 30 September with a performance of ‘Tema Recurrente’ from Gustavo Artigas, the festival will include a series of conferences, talks, workshops, performances, concerts and exhibitions. All events are free and you can see the full program here.
