This month La Jicara will be presenting a series of documentaries as part of their ‘Para todo bien, Maguey’ series.
The series will begin on Tuesday, 9th with Everardo González’s ‘La Canción del Pulque’, a film exploring the tradition, importance and identity of maguey in the pulqueria ‘La Pirata’.
Screenings on the 23rd and 30th of September will feature works from Mexican filmmaker Roberto Olivares Ruíz. Titles include ‘Manos Grandes’, ‘Silvestre Pantaleón’, and a special pre-release screening of ‘El Señor de las Tres Caídas’.
All films will screen at 7.30pm and entry is free.
