OaxacaCine will be launching its May season on Monday 12th with a newly restored version of the 1936 Mexican Classic ‘Redes’ (1936). Featuring a wonderful soundtrack by Silvestre Revueltas, the film portrays a group of fishermen in Alvarado, Veracruz, in their struggle against exploitation. The film was recently restored by the World Cinema Project.
With six films in total the season runs until Tuesday 20th May and will include spring releases from Mexico, Italy, the USA, Argentina and Brazil.
All films will be shown in their original language.
