OaxacaCine welcomes 2016 with an exciting selection of international films from Cineteca’s 59th Muestra Internacional de Cine.
The season opens on Monday, January 25 with Andrew Haigh’s ’45 Years’. Actress Charlotte Rampling has been nominated for an Oscar in this story of a married couple preparing to celebrate their wedding anniversary who receive shattering news that promises to forever change the course of their lives.
Other titles include ‘Mustang’, a story of 5 rebellious sisters in Turkey, and the US-Iranian vampire film ‘A girl walks home alone at night’.
On Thursday, January 28 there will be a special screening of Viviana García Besné’s ‘Perdida’ at the BS Biblioteca Infantil de Oaxaca in Xochimilco as part of the Diplomado en Historia del Cine Mexicano.

All films will be screened at Teatro Macedonio Alcalá at 7pm and tickets are available from the theatre box office between 4-7pm each day. General entry is $30 and concession tickets are $20.
Films are screened in their original language with Spanish subtitles if required.
