0

In their third season of the year OaxacaCine will be screening a diverse range of films in collaboration with FICUNAM, the international film festival of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.

The program begins on Monday, 9th March with the comedy-drama ‘Dos disparos’, a story about a 17 year old boy who impulsively shoots himself twice after finding a gun in his house.  Director Martín Rejtman will be present and will speak at the opening function.

Continuing it’s devotion to independent film, the season continues with films from Argentina, the Ukraine, Mexico, Kazakstan and the United States.  On Thursday 12th, there will be a special screening of ‘La historia en la mirada’, a documentary including some amazing digitally restored historical footage of Mexico from before the revolution and up until the signing of the constitution in 1917.

All films will be screened at Teatro Macedonio Alcalá at 7pm and tickets are available from the theatre box office between 4-7pm each day.
