Oaxaca Sabe Restaurant Week

0

Oaxaca is famous for its amazing food and this eight day culinary festival is the perfect way to try out some of the city’s best restaurants.

Now celebrating its third edition, Oaxaca Sabe was created in 2014 by a group of more than twenty local restaurateurs who wanted to celebrate the great variety of food in Oaxaca by offering food lovers special menus at accessible prices.

This year there are twenty nine restaurants participating in the festival and each one will offer a unique, high quality menu for only $250.  This price includes 3 courses, an alcoholic drink (beer, wine or mezcal) or non-alcoholic drink, coffee or tea, and tip.

With each restaurant responsible for developing its own menu the dining options are extensive.  Participating restaurants include Los Danzantes, The Cuche, Morocco, Sirilo, La Toscana, Sabina Sabe, Casa Crespo, Expendio Tradición, Gourmand Delicatessen, Cocina Azul, Zicanda, Tres Bistro, El Asador Vasco, El Olivo, and Pitiona.

The menus will be available daily (lunch and dinner), from the 21-28 of September.  The festival will close on the 29th with a special gastronomical evening at Expendio Tradición.  This evening will be free for any customers who have sampled four menus during the week (make sure you collect a stamped postcard from each restaurant), or you can buy a ticket for $250.  Tickets are available from Gourmand Delicatessen or Cocina Azul.

Bookings can be made through the website, at oaxaca.sabe@gmail.com, or by contacting the restaurants directly.

Don’t miss this opportunity to explore the wonderful restaurants of Oaxaca!
