Oaxaca Sabe is an exciting new eight day culinary festival to be held in Oaxaca this September.

Organised by a group of more than twenty local restaurateurs, the aim of the festival is to celebrate the great variety of food in Oaxaca by offering food lovers special menus at a reasonable price.

There are twenty restaurants participating in the festival and each one will offer a unique, high quality menu for only $250.  This price includes 3 courses, an alcoholic drink (beer, wine or mezcal), and a tip.

With each restaurant responsible for developing it’s own menu the dining options are extensive.  Participating restaurants include:  Origen, La Toscana, Restaurante Catedral, Sabina Sabe, Casa Crespo, Carbon de Palo, Zicanda, La Olla, El Mezquite, Casa Oaxaca El Restaurante, Casa Oaxaca Cafe Restaurante, Gourmand Delicatessen, Cocina Azul, Burako, Zandunga, Tres Bistro,  El Asador Vasco, La Crepe, Hosteria De Alcala, and Pitiona.

The menus will be available daily (lunch and dinner), from the 16-22 of September.  The festival will close on the 23rd with a special gastronomical evening on the terrace at Casa Crespo.  This evening will be free for any customers who have sampled five menus during the week, or you can buy a ticket for $250.

Bookings can be made through the Facebook page, by emailing oaxaca.sabe@gmail.com or by contacting the restaurants directly.
