If you love mezcal (and let’s face it, who doesn’t), make sure you visit the 17th Annual Feria de Mezcal.
Coinciding with the Guelaguetza, the Feria del Mezcal is one of Oaxcaca’s favourite events. There are over 80 mezcal producers participating in the fair which will feature conferences, tastings and degustation menus, traditional Oaxacan food, dance and music. There will also be a cocktail competition, calenda, fireworks and of course, the crowning of the mezcal queen.
So if you want to find out more about the history and production of mezcal, or you simply want to know the difference between pechuga, espadín and reposado, this is your perfect opportunity.
The Feria will run for eleven days and entry is $40 pesos.
You can see the full calendar of events below.
