Materia Orgánica is a collaborative project between two friends and artists, Malo Farfan (Mexico) and Steve Tierney (Australia), and two very different forms of art making.
For this exhibition, opening at La Popular on Thursday 28 May at 7pm, Tierney created collages on large sheets of coloured card and then handed the pieces to Farfan so that he could draw on top of them in his own illustrative style. The final graphic images transform into an organic mix of art techniques and an exciting explosion of new ideas. and colour.
