‘El Agave y las Ninfas’ (‘Agave and the nymphs’) is a collection of artistic interventions on an agave plantation in the Tlacolula valley.
The event is a collaboration between Matria Jardín Arterapéutico, Tradición Chagoya, Expendio Tradición, and Xaquixe Glass Innovation Studio and was designed to awaken interest in the preservation of the natural and cultural richness of the Tlacolula Valley, an area that is considered to be the cradle of North American agriculture.
As well as the art installations there will also be a sound healing ceremony at 2.30pm to celebrate the Summer solstice.
Access to the site, located about 15 minutes from Tlacolula, is from 12pm until 5pm and entrance is free.
