This April will see the return of one of Oaxaca’s most exciting events, the ¡Catapulta! Social Innovation Festival.
Running from the 7th to the 13th, the theme of this year’s event is ‘Doing it Together’. The festival will include music, film, TEDx talks, art, and of course the social innovation forum. The forum will bring together a range of social innovators, investors and organisations to share ideas, listen and learn with the aim of creating connections and making a positive difference in the world. You can get more information about it here.
Focusing on “the power of everyday people doing extraordinary things together”, the Do-It-Together TEDx speakers include actress Diana Garcia and founder of www.crea.org.mx, Leticia Mariana Jáuregui Casanueva. More speakers will be announced soon.
This year Catapulta’s music festival will feature bands from Mexico, Peru and Colombia including The Buonamico’s Band, Nortec, La China Sonidera, La Furia Con Lujuria and Chocquibtown. Get the full list here.
There will also be a number of films screened as part of the festival, all continuing the theme of Doing to Together and you can find titles and trailers on the website.
You can register and purchase tickets through the website. There are a number of different packages including VIP full pass, Festival pass, Ted X only, and music festival only, as well as special membership and local deals.
