The Catapulta Social Innovation Festival is back this June with a great lineup of music, film, talks and a three day social innovation forum.

Running from June 17-19 the forum will “play host to conversations, workshops, interviews, performances, design sessions, community building, creative interventions and meditative spaces all aimed to help fuel ideas and action, catalyze connections and catapult social innovation projects to the next level.”

In conjunction with the festival the Institute de Artes Gráficas de Oaxaca will be screening a series of Mexican documentaries including ‘Atempa’, ‘Gente de Mar y Viento’, and ‘Por Donde Pasa el Diablo’.   See the poster below or check the website for details.  Entrance is free for these events.

The Catapulta Music Festival officially kicks off on Friday night with a party at Origen Restaurant.  Performers include NAAFI, Compass, Memory Man & Disco Ruido and tickets cost $200.

The festival will close on Saturday, June 20 with an outdoor concert at the Museo del Ferrocarril.  This year’s lineup includes cumbia legends Los Angeles Azules, Ximena Sariñana, Mia Maestro, Little Jesus, Buonamicos Band and more.  Click here to see the full list of performers.
