Oaxaca is cementing it’s place on the festival circuit with the announcement of Barro Verde Fest, a two day music festival that will bring together Molotov, Los Estrambóticos, La Matatena, Kenny y los Electricos, Liquits, Sekta Core and La Castañeda as well as a selection of great local bands.
The festival will be held on November 16th and 17th at the Ex-hacienda San José Espacio Cultural in Atzompa and as well as two days of amazing music, will include local cuisine and craft including, of course, Atzompa’s iconic green pottery.
While you won’t want to miss any of these classic bands, Liquits have just announced that, after 26 years together, they’re taking an indefinite break after next year’s Vive Latino so this will be one of your last opportunities to see them perform live.
Tickets are currently on sale through Boletia and are also available locally at Jaguar Yuú Café, Archivo Maguey and Gangster Shop. Make sure you follow the festival on Facebook as they often have ticket promotions.
