After 12 years sharing the best of Oaxaca’s music, art, theatre, and culture, Qué Pasa Oaxaca will be taking an indefinite break starting January 1, 2026.
I’m proud of everything I’ve achieved with this project – promoting Oaxacan events and supporting local musicians, artists, venues, and independent and alternative projects.
But I also feel sad because I was never able to make Qué Pasa Oaxaca reach its full potential, and because I believe I could have achieved so much more. I always had a grand vision for this project, but in the end, I wasn’t able to make it happen.
It was a very difficult decision, but it’s time to create space and focus on new projects.
Thank you so much to all the contributors who have been part of this project. I am very grateful for your time, effort, and love.
Los quiero x

Hola Isaías, nos puedes mandar un correo a quepasaoaxaca@gmail.com? Gracias
Tengo una forma de hacer de este proyecto algo mucho mas grande aún. Contáctame.
Dear Rebecca,
Many thanks for keeping this project going for 12 years. IMHO, nobody should feel sad about not being able to “make this happen” as you put it, especially not alone (if that is this case) and very especially not in today’s internet when many of your potential public is too stuck on “redes sociales”.
That said, the name and the domain are well known and if you don’t plan to continue to use it, are you open to participating in some way in a team effort? Or if you are fully decided that you yourself want out, are you open to passing it on to somebody else?
