The Museo de Filatelia de Oaxaca (MUFI) is celebrating its 17th Anniversary on Thursday 9 July.
The celebrations will begin at midday with an exhibition of pieces from the workshops ‘Fotoserigrafía’ and ‘De la línea, al color y la palabra’. There will also be a degustation of regional sweets, drinks and nieve, and a workshop on experimental paper envelopes.
Between 12 and 4pm they’ll be offering free screen printing of the anniversary logo so make sure you take a tshirt, cap, cup or bag!
At 6pm there will be a talk about the exhibition ‘Correspondencias: archivos y fondos del Cenidiap’, which will officially open at 7pm. This exhibition will feature historic documents from Mexican artists from the 20th century including Diego Rivera, Frida Kahlo, Gabriel Fernández Ledesma, Isabel Villaseñor and more.
