The Feria Gráfica Oaxaca Printmaking Fair returns this month with a two-day exhibition and sale of local art on October 31 and November 1.
Oaxaca is the capital of graphic arts in Mexico and is renowned both nationally and internationally. The printmaking fair was developed as an opportunity for local artists to sell and show their work collectively, and directly to the public. This year it will feature over 90 individual artists, talleres and collectives, and will include etchings, woodblock prints, lithographs, screenprints and drawings.
As well as a series of workshops, the fair will feature a raffle of artworks donated by participating artists. You only need to donate two $10 peso coins in the gumball machine for your chance to win a print!
The fair will be open from 11am to 9pm each day and the inauguration will be held on Monday, 31st October at 7pm.
For more information on the workshops and featured artists see the posters below, and to see samples of their work check out the fair’s Facebook page.
